Fontana: Motorist Dead After Crashing Into Big Rig

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision involving a big rig near the intersection of Commerce Way and Slover Avenue around 6:18 PM.

Units arriving on scene found a white Cadillac that had apparently rear-ended a trailer being hauled by a big rig.

The passenger car was severely damaged and firefighter paramedics pronounced the driver deceased on scene.

Police closed off the intersection to traffic while they worked to investigate the circumstances surrounding the crash.
