Flight Lands With Possible COVID-19 Exposed Passengers at LAX

12.14.2020 | LOS ANGELES – United Flight 591 experienced a medical emergency on it’s way to LAX. The flight made an emergency landing in New Orleans. Twitter reports suggest a man died during the flight after testing positive for COVID-19.

According to a spokesperson at Louis Armstrong International, United Flight 591 from Orlando was diverted to MSY for a medical reason, according to NBC New Orleans.

The man was taken to East Jefferson Memorial Hospital in New Orleans. The flight then continued to LAX where it landed at approximately 11:15 p.m. There was worry that all passengers on the flight were exposed to the virus.
