Fireworks Start Exploding in Vehicle & Then Start Brush Fire | San Diego

06.02.2022 | 11:25 AM | SAN DIEGO – A male was driving his SUV northbound on Morena Blvd. when illegal fireworks he was transporting, started to explode inside the SUV.

He stopped his vehicle and grabbed the exploding tube of 96 Big Slugger Fire Balls.

When he got outside of the vehicle, the fireballs were shooting out of the tube and some landed in the vegetation in front of a condo complex and lit the vegetation on fire.

Firefighters quickly arrived and were able to put the fire out.

The male stayed and told the police officers and the firefighters what happen.

He was allowed to leave the scene.

He had been on the Colorado River over the weekend and had brought some of the leftover fireworks home with him.
