Firefighters Work To Save Horse Trapped In Trailer | Yorba Linda

12-8-22 | 7:45 PM | Yorba Linda – Around 7:15 PM Thursday night, units from Orange County Fire Authority and Anaheim Fire and Rescue were dispatched to a rescue involving a horse near the intersection of Heather Way and Highland Avenue in the city of Yorba Linda.

A woman towing a horse trailer felt her horses struggling in the trailer.

She pulled over in front of a house and attempted to bring the horse out.

One of the horses leg was stuck on a gate inside the trailer.

The owner called for assistance from the OCFA.

After being unable to extricate the horse, additional assistance was requested bringing Urban Search and Rescue as well as a Heavy Rescue Unit.

The horse was freed after an hour and is in good condition.

The owner was able to walk the horse home which was a short distance away.
