Firefighters Free Man After Crash in Lake Balboa
11.18.2020 | 8:14 PM | LOS ANGELES – A man was freed from the wreckage of a violent collision Wednesday night.
LAFD responded to a traffic collision at the 17300 block of Saticoy St just after 8 PM.
LAPD arrived first on scene and reported one person was trapped in a two vehicle collision.
LAFD quickly arrived shortly after to locate a head on crash between two vehicles with two critical patients.
One driver was trapped in his vehicle prompting a Physical Rescue response by LAFD.
Firefighters had to cut the doors and roof off of the vehicle and remove the steering column in order to safely extricate the man.
LAFD Paramedics transported both patients to Northridge Hospital in critical condition.
LAPD Valley Traffic Bureau will continue to investigate the crash, however the roadway has since been cleared.
