Firefighters Battle Mobile Home Fire | Phoenix

04.22.2022 | 2:30 AM | PHOENIX – Fire crews from the cities of Phoenix, Avondale, Glendale and the Town of Tolleson responded to reports of a mobile home fire near 67th Avenue and Van Buren Street shortly before 2:30 AM Friday morning. Upon arrival crews found smoke showing from a double wide mobile home. Crews immediately balanced the assignment to a working fire and began working on laying an extended supply line to secure a water source. Firefighters located heavy fire in the home’s attic space. The decision was made to fight the fire from a defensive posture due to heavy fire activity and structural integrity hazards. Fire crews were able to contain the blaze to the main structure, preventing extension to nearby mobile homes. 2 adults and 1 child have been displaced as a result of the fire. Fire investigators are working to determine the cause. No injuries have been reported.
