Firefighters Battle Early Morning Hazmat Fire

DETAILS:

1. Firefighters responded to a reported structure fire.
2. Units arrived to find a large commercial building with heavy smoke and fire through the roof.
3. Firefighters were made aware by the owner of the company there were hazards chemicals inside.
4. Firefighters went into a defensive mode, hitting the fire from outside the building.
5. Hazmat units are on scene from LAFD and L.A. County Hazmat teams are enroute.
6. The smoke and water are considered toxic, and firefighters are starting to dam up the runoff.
7. Firefighters had the fire knocked down in 55 minutes.
8.  No injuries have been reported
