Firefighters Battle Brush Fire Below Snow Capped Mountains

- Crews had to traverse a shifted creek which had made its new path the road bed.
- Several engines and crews had made it on scene and were fighting fire utilizing creek water.
- Cal fire aircraft and helicopters were dropping retardant.
- Some had crews were trucked in by 4×4.
- CDC fire crew hiked in.
- “The Nob Fire was reported at 10:16 on April 26th. The fire is located northwest of Lytle Creek and south of the Wrightwood area.San Bernardino National Forest with the assistance of CALFIRE BDU and San Bernardino County Fire immediately responded. The fire is burning is steep terrain and thick brush. Fire engines and crews, as well as helicopter and fixed wing aircraft have been requested or are on scene of the fire. Additional resources will be requested as needed. Firefighters will remain on-scene and working overnight to continue to extinguish the fire.Forest Road 3N06 (Lytle Creek Canyon) in the area of the fire is closed to allow access for firefighters.
