Firefighters Airlift Crash Victims From Rollover After Rope Rescue in Santa Clarita
12.17.2020 | 6:03 PM | AGUA DULCE – Three people were hospitalized after their vehicle flew off the freeway and 100 feet down an enbankment Thursday evening.
Officials responded to reports of a vehicle that was overturned on the NB 14 freeway near Soledad Canyon Road.
When units arrived on scene, they found one vehicle approximately 100 feet down an embankment off the right shoulder.
Officials with LA County Fire made access to the vehicle and confirmed two people were trapped inside the vehicle.
The two trapped patients were extricated and were said to meet trauma criteria
Two paramedic helicopters deployed medics down to the scene, hooked up the patients, and airlifted them.
Both patients were airlifted, possibly one to Henry Mayo Hospital and one to Antelope Valley Hospital.
One other patient was transported by ground to a local hospital with minor injuries.
All 3 victims conditions are unknown, and it is unknown if drugs, alcohol or speed were factors.
