Fire Tears Through Huntington Beach Landmark
12.10.2020 | 5:54 PM | HUNTINGTON BEACH – Just before 6 PM, units from Huntington Beach Fire, Costa Mesa Fire And Rescue and Newport Beach Fire Departments were dispatched to a residential fire at 9000 block of Bermuda Drive. Arriving units found heavy smoke coming from the attic and second floor. The residence is a local landmark in Huntington Beach, known as the Castle House. Annually the owner opens his home on Halloween as a haunted house, collecting cans of food as admission. The fire damaged the attic and part of the second floor. One of the residents suffered burns to their hands in an attempt to put out the fire. One of the homeowners was seen attempting to use a garden hose in an attempt to put out the fire. According to the Huntington Beach Fire Public Information Officer, it took approximately 15 minutes to put out the fire. For licensing, contact info@onscene.tv
