Fire Spreads To Palm Trees And Vehicles In South LA

Firefighters evacuated multiple apartments as flames burned a structure, two tall palm trees and several vehicles early Wednesday morning in Los Angeles’ Hyde Park neighborhood.

At approximately 4:02 a.m. on September 2, 2026, the Los Angeles Fire Department responded to a reported structure fire at 2007 W. Florence Avenue near Gramercy Place.

Firefighters arrived to find a structure burning along with two tall palm trees and at least two vehicles on an adjacent property.

Multiple apartments next door were evacuated as a precaution while firefighters worked to control the flames and prevent the fire from spreading further.

No injuries were reported at the scene.

The cause of the fire was not immediately available.
