Fire Rips Through Abandoned Residential Unit | Ventura

02.01.2022 | 4:19 AM | VENTURA – Ventura City Fire crews responded to a report of a fire behind a structure at 231 E Thompson Blvd.

When crews arrived on scene, they found a fully-involved secondary residential unit to the rear of an abandoned residence with fire spreading to nearby palm trees.

Crews had the fire knocked down in just a few minutes.

The cause was likely homeless-related.
