Fire Reveals Suspected Marijuana Grow House in Riverside
At approximately 5:35am on March 24th, 2026, Riverside Fire Department crews responded to a reported residential structure fire on Bolton Avenue in Riverside.
Upon arrival, firefighters located a working fire at the home. During the response, the battalion chief requested police, an ambulance, and investigators after identifying signs consistent with a possible marijuana grow operation inside the residence.
According to Riverside Police Department Public Information Officer Detective Steven Espinoza, the home had been converted into a marijuana grow house. The contents and value of the operation were not immediately known.
Riverside Fire investigators and Riverside Police Department detectives remained on scene as the investigation continued.
No additional information was immediately released.
