Fire Engulfs U-Haul Van on West Jefferson Blvd

LOCATION: 1741 W Jefferson Blvd

DETAILS:

1. LAFD responded to a report of a crash
2. Firefighters arrived to find a U-Haul van well involved with fire
3. Firefighters had to request an engine company to assist with the incident
4. While the ambulance was waiting for the engine to show up, they used a garden hose to contain the flames
5. Firefighters eventually knocked down the flames
6. A black Toyota that was parked on the street was damaged as well as a city tree
7. Also the fire damaged the adjacent food for less
8. LAPD says 2 males & 1 female were reportedly seen leaving the scene after the crash
9. It is unclear if the U-Haul is stolen
