Fire Crews Battle Raging Defensive House Fire | Phoenix
10.16.2022 | 1:50 AM | PHOENIX – Phoenix and Glendale Fire crews responded to reports of a house fire in northwest Phoenix near 45th Avenue and Avenida Del Sol around 1:50 AM.
Upon arrival crews found heavy smoke and flames showing through the roof of a single story residential structure.
Crews balanced the assignment to a working fire and deployed hand lines for fire attack.
Command units on scene called for all units to pull back and assume a defensive posture due to heavy fire activity inside the well involved structure.
Firefighters utilized the roof tops of the neighboring houses to the north and south deploying handlines to fight the flames from an elevated position.
Fortunately the homeowner was not home during the blaze.
Crews worked diligently to extinguish the flames successfully stopping the fire from spreading to any neighboring properties.
Fire investigators are currently working to determine what caused the fire.
