Fillmore: Man Critically Wounded After Shooting

12.24.2018 | 9:30 PM | FILLMORE – A man was hospitalized with critical injuries after a shooting, Monday night.

Deputies responded to numerous reports of shots being fired in the 800 block of 4th Street around 9:30 PM.

Units arriving on scene located a male victim down suffering from a gunshot wound to his face.

Firefighter paramedics responded and treated the downed victim on scene before transporting him to an area hospital with critical injuries.

Witnesses reported to authorities that a second person who fled on foot may have also been injured.

Authorities were not immediately able to locate the second victim but were continuing to investigate.

No suspect information was immediately available.
