Fiery Rollover Crash Injures Two

DETAILS:
- Two men were hospitalized in a violent collision that caught a red Mustang on fire and rolled another vehicle over late Saturday night
- LA County FD was called to the area of Lambert Rd just east of Beach Blvd regarding a major crash with one car reportedly on fire.
- Police on the scene confirmed at least one person was trapped in a vehicle
- When firefighters arrived, they found the Mustang fully engulfed in flames, with at least one subject outside of the car and a rolled-over vehicle next to it with a person still trapped inside
- Firefighters quickly extinguished the blaze and utilized the jaws of life to free the trapped victim from the rolled-over vehicle
- There are reports from nearby witnesses indicating that police may have been chasing the vehicle before the collision. It is unclear if it was an active pursuit when it occurred. CHP later rolled in and took over the crash investigation, indicating that a pursuit element may have been involved. Police could not confirm the pending investigation.
- Two men were both taken to the UCI medical center with traumatic injuries and unknown conditions.
