Fiery Refinery Flare Up After 4.3 Earthquake | Carson

09.17.2021 | 8:01 PM | CARSON – Just before 8 PM Friday night, a 4.3 earthquake shook Southern California based out of Carson. Almost immediately after the earthquake, an emergency flare operation lit up the sky around the refinery near the intersection of E 223rd St. and S. Wilmington Avenue. Management at the Marathon refinery where the flares are occurring a part of these are the normal procedure following an earthquake.
