Fiery Hit & Run Crash Leaves Power Out to Over 100 People | San Diego

04.06.2022 | 2:09 AM | SAN DIEGO – Firefighters arrived at the scene of an SUV that had crashed. The vehicle was on fire and the firefighters were told that people were inside. They got the fire out and no one was present. The driver had taken off. The SUV hit 2 different SDG&E electrical junction boxes, taking out the power out to over 100 residents and the street lights. The fire scorched the building next to the SUV. The 1900 blk of State St is closed. There is no estimate of when the power will be restored. The SUV has not been reported stolen.
