Fiery Fatal Crash Kills One, 2 Others Transported | Upland

05.03.2022 | 11:45 PM | UPLAND – Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with fire. First responders arrived on scene and located a two vehicle collision. One vehicle was fully engulfed in flames, and at least one was trapped inside the vehicle. A witness stated he saw Upland PD officers break the windows of the vehicle on fire to rescue the trapped victim, however, they were unable to free the victim. Firefighters and paramedics arrived on scene and pronounced one DOA. Two immediate patients were transported to local area trauma centers for unknown injuries. Multiple witnesses stated that prior to the collision, they witnessed a vehicle driving southbound on Campus at an “extremely high rate of speed.” Witnesses stated they heard a large crash and saw a ball of flames as the vehicles collided.
