Fiery Big Rig vs. Sedan Wreck | Los Angeles

04.25.2022 | 1:01 AM | LOS ANGELES – Authorities responded to reports of a big rig versus car on the NB I-5. First responders arrived on scene and located a vehicle with heavy TC damage, fully engulfed in flames that had been struck by a big rig. Firefighters extinguished the fire that extended into the big rig trailer in approximately 10 minutes. CHP officers on scene stated they were unsure if anyone is or was inside the vehicle that was struck. Any victim details are unclear at this time, whether they were transported or not, DOA, etc. The driver of the big rig was uninjured. There were reportedly over 20,000 lbs of fish in the back of the big rig per radio traffic. The I-5 was fully shut down for a duration of time, but select lanes on both sides have now opened up.
