Female Ejected In Possible DUI Crash

DETAILS:
- At least two people are in critical condition including a female who was ejected from her pick up truck after a brutal traffic collision took place in colton city tonight.
- At around 10:45 PM CHP received multiple reports of a major traffic collision involving a semi truck, and several vehicles with one female ejected from a pick truck and laying in the HOV lane.
- When first responders arrived on scene the confirmed the female was laying in the HOV lane but was miraculously alive.
- The woman was immediately transported in critical condition.
- Shortly after, firefighters request another ambulance code three as they found another critically injured patient in the other vehicle whom also required extrication.
- The patient could be seen hooked up to IV Bags as the unknown party was loaded in the ambulance.
- The semi Truck involved could be seen with minor front end bumper damaged on the driver side.
- Further more, It was recently reported that one of drivers involved in the TC that appeared to be detained by CHP was being investigated for being under the influence.
- That suspect was taken into custody after a blood technician was requested.
- The DUI suspect was taken to Loma Linda for minor injuries and is un custody for suspicion of Being under the influence.
- There was a third pick up truck that was involved in the collision, however that vehicle appeared to have minor damage.
- The incident is under continued investigation, and caltrans was resquested for a hard closure of the 1,2 and 3 lanes.
