Female Driver Dies After Crashing Into Amazon Truck | San Diego

03.04.2022 | 2:20 AM | SAN DIEGO – The male driver of an Amazon Trailer with his semi-truck jacked-knifed in the rain as he came down the hill towards the I-8.

A  female driver of an SUV smashed into the trailer and had to be extricated from the wreckage.

It was heard on the Police/Fire radio that the woman died at the hospital, and the CHP has confirmed the fatality.

A CHP unit was also hit when attempting to do a traffic break.

There were a few other crashes from people not paying attention to the stopped traffic.

The entire northbound lanes are blocked and have been for several hours.

HAZMAT was called out for the gas spill from the semi-truck.
