Female Driver Causes Crash With SDPD Unit | San Diego
09.02.2022 | 11:02 PM | SAN DIEGO – A 21-year-old female was driving a Toyota Camry in the southbound #2 lane of 4900 College Avenue. A police officer was in the southbound #1 lane of 4900 College Avenue and slightly behind the Camry. The Camry made a U-turn from the #2 lane in front of the police officer. The right front of the officer’s vehicle struck the left front of the Camry. After the collision, the officer’s vehicle struck two other parked vehicles on the northbound side of the street. The driver of the Camry was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. Her passenger was uninjured and the officer sustained a laceration to the left side of his head. San Diego Police Traffic Division is investigating.
