Female Critically Injured After Fleeing Police & Crashing | Houston

04.18.2022 | 1:25 AM | HOUSTON – HPD attempted to stop a vehicle with no lights on that was swerving. The driver stopped and handed her drivers license to the officer then fled. Officers were in a brief pursuit. She was driving on the Southwest Fwy then exited and wrecked on the feeder. The vehicle crashed into a sign, the sign then caught fire. The car began to catch fire, officers and a wrecker were able to pull the car from the fire and extinguish the flames. The female was temporarily trapped in the car as a result of the crash.
