Female Crashes into CHP Cruiser, Flees, But Quickly Apprehended in Riverside

12.04.2020 | 11:30 PM | RIVERSIDE – A drunk is off the streets after she tried running away from her crash.. into an occupied CHP cruiser.

At approximately 11:30 pm, A CHP officer who was working a construction detail on the EB Hwy 60 at Market Street was struck by a DUI suspect while he was in his vehicle.

The suspect, a female, then went on to hit another vehicle.

She then exited her vehicle and ran off of the freeway into the Santa Ana river bottom, with CHP officers hot on her tail.

The foot pursuit was brief, and she was ultimately corralled into custody.

The officer and the driver of the third vehicle were not hurt in the accident thankfully.

The suspect was arrested and will be booked into the Robert Presley Detention Center.
