Father of 6 Killed by DUI Driver in San Bernardino

- On June 26th, 2025, at about 8:28 PM, San Bernardino PD, County Fire, and AMR responded to a traffic collision in the intersection of 5th Street and North Sierra Way in San Bernardino.
- Units arrived at the scene and located a motorcyclist down and a white sedan with damage.
- A child who was riding in the sedan was ejected from the vehicle and was transported with unknown injuries to a local hospital.
- The motorcyclist was pronounced at the scene.
- According to witnesses, the white sedan ran the red light and collided with the motorcycle.
- The San Bernardino PD closed 5th Street from Sierra Way to North Lugo Avenue while investigating the fatal crash.
UPDATE: The driver of the white sedan was found under the influence and was booked for suspicion of driving under the influence of narcotics, vehicular manslaughter, and child abuse due to the small child not being restrained. The motorcyclist who was killed has been identified as 40-year-old Michael Siganoff, a father of six. The sedan driver has been identified as 42-year-old Paulo Cesar Mendez. The family of Michael Siganoff is outraged that Paulo Cesar Medez was allowed to post bail and is out of jail despite killing their beloved family member.
