Fatal Wrong Way Crash

LOCATION:  Westbound 225 over Goodyear
AREA/CITY:  Houston
DETAILS:

1. HPD responded to reports of a wrong way driver
2. Before officers arrived, the vehicle crashed into a vehicle traveling the correct direction
3. A Pontiac was going the wrong way (Eastbound in the Westbound lanes) when it crashed head on with a blue Mustang
4. 1 occupant of the Mustang, transported to a nearby trauma center, and expected to survive
5. Wrong way driver was pronounced deceased
6. Deceased male appears to be in his 20s or 30’s and died from impact, before the vehicle caught fire
