Fatal Train vs Pedestrian In San Diego

LOCATION: Old Town Trolley Station (Taylor St.)

DETAILS:
- A male in his 60’s was hit and killed by the AMTRAK (The Californian) train.
- Witnesses said the male was wearing headphones while crossing the train track and was not paying attention, even looking in the opposite direction.
- The train was heading south and going into the train station and going approx 40 mph, according to the train engineer.
- The male did not appear to be a transient, and it appears to be a tragic accident.
- Taylor Street is closed for the investigation by the SDSO Deputies.
