1. Phoenix Police and Phoenix Fire crews responded to reports of a pedestrian struck by a freight train.
2. Officers arrived to find an unidentified pedestrian under a Union Pacific fright train.
3. Train engineers detached the lead locomotives allowing fire crews to access the pedestrian.
4. The pedestrian was pronounced deceased on scene.
5. Detectives are on scene investigating the incident.
