Fatal Stabbing Incident Unfolds at Auburn Casino

- 911 received calls about a fight in progress and a possible stabbing, and Aid was told to stage for PD to secure the scene
- 3 minutes in, at 01:36, it was upgraded to a stabbing, with the victim being slashed in the neck with a box cutter
- Security was working on taking the suspect into custody, and PD soon joined
- Once on scene, the patient appeared to have life-threatening injuries, and an airlift was sent to Auburn Airport at 0151 along with whole blood from MSO1 at 0159
- However, the airlift was canceled at 02:22, and efforts ceased on the victim at 0225
- The suspect was taken into custody, and the PD collected significant footage from the Casino.
- The Casino, wanting to operate and generate money, brought in panels on wheels to block off the small section so people could continue to gamble just feet away while investigators worked with the body still on the casino floor.
