Fatal Pedestrian Collision in National City

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11-21-23 5:10 am

DETAILS:

1. The male pedestrian is believed to have been in the crosswalk at the exit ramp of Plaza Blvd off of the southbound I-805.
2. The male driver of the Ford truck struck the male and carried him over 40 yards before stopping.
3. The male was transported to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.
4. The driver is cooperating with the Police.
5. The westbound lanes of Plaza Blvd are closed at the I-805 for the investigation.

Update:

The male passed away at the hospital.
