Fatal Motorcycle Vs Vehicle In Long Beach, CA

At approximately 9:01 p.m., officers responded to an injury traffic collision on 11th Street and Redondo Avenue between a motorcycle and a vehicle.
When officers arrived, Long Beach Fire Department personnel were providing medical aid to the motorcyclist; however, he succumbed to his injuries at the scene.
The preliminary investigation indicates a 2010 KTM motorcycle was traveling southbound on Redondo Avenue when it collided with a 2006 Toyota Sequoia traveling eastbound on 11th Street as it crossed Redondo Avenue.
At this time, impaired driving is being investigated as a possible factor in the collision.
The driver of the Sequoia remained on scene and cooperated with the investigation. He was identified as Frank Andrade Jr., a 33-year-old resident of Long Beach. He was arrested and booked for driving under the influence and vehicular manslaughter. Bail was set at $101,781.
The decedent was identified as Roberto Barraza, a 37-year-old resident of Long Beach.
