Fatal, Metro Train Vs. Pedestrian

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 3-19-24, 3:04 p.m.
LOCATION: Washington St and Indiana Ave
AREA/CITY: Riverside
DETAILS:

1. Riverside Fire Department and Riverside Police Department responded to a reported train vs. a pedestrian.
2. When firefighters arrived, they found a MetroLink Train stopped on the tracks and one man down.
3. That man was pronounced deceased.
4. At this time the train/tracks are stopped at that location for an unknown duration.
5. It is not known how many people were on the MetroLink at the time of the collision.
6. This MetroLink rail is used by several hundred people to commute daily to and from work
