DETAILS:

1. LAPD and LAFD got reports of a traffic collision involving a pedestrian with one victim down on the ground unresponsive
2. Fire arrived at scene and pronounce the patient DOA due to the injuries of the impact, the vehicle has major front end damage
3. The vehicle took off from scene going W on 8Th St leaving the victim in the middle of the street
4. LAPD is investigating the scene and LAPD has the make and model of the vehicle that struck the pedestrian
