Fatal Fiery Crash in Tustin

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 11.25.2024 | 3:09 AM
LOCATION: NB I-5 south of Tustin Ranch Road
AREA/CITY: Tustin
DETAILS:

  1. The 5 Freeway is down to one lane after a horrific 4-vehicle wreck resulted in a fatality Monday morning
  2. CHP received multiple reports of a vehicle overturned in the #1 lane of NB I-5 adjacent to the Market Place shopping center
  3. Arriving, they located multiple vehicles involved, with one overturned and  fully engulfed in flames.
  4. OCFA firefighters quickly put the fire out to the overturned vehicle
  5. One person was transported to the hospital, while two more declined medical transport. A fourth was declared deceased on the scene
  6. It is unclear if the body was located inside the burning vehicle or elsewhere
  7. A SIG Alert has been issued for all lanes except the #7 lane of NB I-5 Freeway @ Jamboree until further notice
