Fatal Fiery Crash In Santiago Canyon

DETAILS:
- At or around 1:15 PM, units from the California Highway Patrol and Orange County Fire Authority were dispatched to a vehicle collision on Santiago Canyon Road near Silverado Canyon Road.
- Arriving units found a three-vehicle collision with one fully engulfed in flames.
- The Orange County Sheriff’s / Coroner was also requested for a fatality that occurred on scene.
- Two adults and a juvenile were transported to a nearby trauma center in unknown condition.
- A person who was an occupant of one of the involved vehicles saved a child from the burning car.
- Santiago Canyon for approximately two hours while the Major Accident Investigation Team ( MAIT ) determines the cause of the crash.
