Fatal Fiery Crash Closes San Bernardino Intersection

One person was killed and at least one other person was hospitalized following a fiery single-vehicle crash late Saturday night in San Bernardino.

The collision occurred just before midnight on September 12, 2026, at North Waterman Avenue and East 6th Street.

San Bernardino police, San Bernardino County firefighters and AMR paramedics responded and found a sedan that had crashed into a traffic signal, causing major damage before the vehicle caught fire.

At least one person was pronounced dead at the scene. Another person was transported to a local hospital with injuries of unknown severity.

Police closed and taped off surrounding roads as the department’s traffic collision investigation team responded to investigate the fatal crash.

No additional information regarding the identities of those involved or what caused the vehicle to crash was immediately available.

The investigation remains ongoing.
