Fatal Ejection Freeway Crash

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 8-7-24 6:35 am
LOCATION: WB I-905 to NB I-5 Transition Ramp
AREA/CITY: San Diego
DETAILS:

 

1. The female driver (IDed in Video) was traveling from westbound I-905 to the northbound I-5 on the transition ramp.
2. For unknown reasons, she lost control and went onto the right shoulder.
3. The car re-entered the traffic lanes and rolled several times, landing on her roof.
4. The victim was ejected from the crash and succumbed to her injuries.
5. The ramp was closed, and cars were turned around and sent in the opposite direction.
6. The CHP is investigating.
