Fatal Ejection Crash Closes 710 Freeway

INCIDENT DATE/TIME: 06/01/23 1:12 A.M.
LOCATION: Southbound 710 Freeway At Imperial Hwy
CITY: South Gate
DETAILS:

1. CHP and LACoFD responded to a reported traffic accident
2. Units arrived to find at least a two-vehicle collision with one person ejected from a vehicle.
3. LA County Paramedics arrived and pronounced one victim deceased at the scene.
4. Currently it is unclear which vehicle the deceased person was in.
5. One male driver was taken into custody at the scene. It is unclear, what roll he may have had in the crash
6. At least two lanes of the southbound 710 will be closed into the morning commute.
7. CHP is handling the investigation
