Fatal Crash in Houston: 1 Dead, Suspect Driver Hospitalized

- HPD and HFD responded to reports of a crash
- arriving units located 2 vehicles with major damage, and multiple patients
- 1 person pronounced deceased at the scene
- The at-fault driver was transported to a nearby trauma center
Per Sgt Griffiths, the at-fault driver slammed into the sedan while it was stopped at the light waiting to turn left. The female occupant of the sedan was pronounced deceased at the scene by HFD. The at-fault driver was transported with major injuries. DA’s office is en route to assist with the investigation, should charges be filed. no evidence to indicate that the at-fault driver slowed down prior to impact. Drugs and alcohol have not been ruled in or out. Officers are at the hospital working to make a determination.
