Fairview Fire Explodes With Extreme Behavior | Hemet

09.08.2022 | 1:30 PM | HEMET – The Fairview Fire is making Powerful fast and scary Run through Bautista canyon this afternoon.

Extreme fire behavior is seen on video as crews work to protect the CalFire Bautista Canyon Inmate Fire Camp.

Fire behavior didn’t start to pick up until almost noon but when it did, winds began to blast through the canyon driving the fire into a critical rate of spread moving with the force of a freight train.

Massive flames flanked the entire camp and saturated the entire area at and around the camp with thick suffocating smoke.

The fire front has passed by the inmate camp, and what is left is a fire that is back towards the camp on all sides.

About a dozen resources such as engines and dozers are working to make a stand and protect camp and thus far have been completely successful.

The fire front now continues to rip through the canyon.
