Exposition Park: Firefighters Free Man Trapped In Car After Crash
05.29.2020 | 12:38 AM | LOS ANGELES – Firefighters freed a man who became trapped in his vehicle after crashing, early Friday morning.
Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with a person trapped at the intersection of South Budlong Avenue and West Jefferson Boulevard in the Exposition PArk area around 12:38 AM.
Crews arriving on scene located a two-vehicle traffic collision involving an SUV and a white sedan that had collided with a traffic signal pole before coming to rest against a building.
The male driver inside the vehicle was trapped as a result of the crash and had to be cut free using the Jaws of Life and other power tools.
Firefighter paramedics transported the male driver to an area hospital in unknown condition.
Both the driver and passenger in the SUV were evaluated on scene but declined medical treatment.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
