Exposition Park: Ammo Explodes After Fiery Crash Into Bobtail Truck

07.29.2019 | 11:43 PM | EXPOSITION PARK – Ammo could be heard exploding after a fiery crash involving a big rig, late Monday night.

Authorities responded to reports of a traffic collision with fire on the northbound I-110 Freeway at Exposition Boulevard around 11:43 PM.

Crews arriving on scene found a seda engulfed in flames after rear-ending a bobtail truck.

Ammo was exploding from the sedan, which was occupied by a security guard.

Firefighters quickly doused the blaze and treated the security guard for minor injuries.

The driver of the bobtail truck was uninjured.

Police are investigating the circumstances leading up to the crash.
