Escondido: Slow Speed Pursuit Ends In Crash

01.01.2019 | 11:15 PM | ESCONDIDO – A man was under arrest after he crashed while slowly fleeing police, Tuesday night.

Officers attempted to stop a slow moving vehicle traveling southbound on Centre City Parkway near Washington Avenue around 11:15 PM.

The driver of the vehicle, a male adult, failed to stop for officers and led police on a slow moving pursuit.

Additional officers responded to chase the vehicle which crashed shortly after into a traffic signal near Valley Parkway.

Police arrested the man who was evaluated by paramedics before being booked into jail.

It was unknown why the man fled however authorities are investigating whether drugs or alcohol were involved.
