Escondido: Missing Woman Found Dead Inside Car
12.06.2018 | 12:34 AM | ESCONDIDO – A woman who was missing for a week was found dead inside her car, early Thursday morning.
The family friend of the missing woman, identified as Christine Donehue, 43 of Escondido, called 911 shortly after 12:30 AM to report they located Donehue’s silver 2007 Chrysler town & Country Van and a possible body inside.
Deputies responded to the scene and confirmed the vehicle was that of the missing woman. Further investigation revealed Donehue’s deceased body was inside.
Authorities established a crime scene while detectives responded to the scene to investigate.
Donehue was reported missing on November 29th, 2018 after leaving her home for an appointment.
She never made it to her appointment and reportedly left her cellphone at home, something friends and family said was out of character.
Despite seeking out the assistance of the media to locate the missing woman, family and friends at the scene were verbally and physically aggressive towards news photographers providing coverage of the incident.
The cause and circumstances surrounding Donehue’s disappearance and subsequent death are under investigation.
