Engine Flies 75 Feet Out of Car in 2 Vehicle Accident | Chula Vista

11.29.2022 | 6:29 PM | CHULA VISTA – The male driver of the Minivan was driving south on Rutgers Ave when for unknown reasons, he lost control and went off of the roadway, and struck a traffic light pole. He continued south through the intersection with the light pole. Another male was waiting for the light to turn green as he was heading east on E. H St. The minivan hit the car and the impact sent both cars off of the street and up an embankment. The car’s engine flew out of the car and was sent approx 75 feet to the west, landing on the street, but luckily missed other vehicles. The driver of the minivan suffered a leg injury and was transported to a local hospital, while the other driver was not injured. Traffic has been affected fir over 90 minutes.
