Electric Motorcycle Pursuit Ends In Arrest In Oceanside

At approximately 3:14 p.m. on February 28, 2026, deputies attempted to stop an electric motorcycle in Oceanside, but the rider failed to yield, leading to a pursuit.

During the chase, the rider reportedly drove head-on toward a motor deputy, causing the deputy to fall from his motorcycle.

The suspect continued into a residential neighborhood in the 1300 block of Panorama Ridge Drive before fleeing on foot into a nearby ridge area.

Aerial support located the suspect, who was taken into custody.

Both the suspect and the deputy were evaluated at the scene and declined medical treatment.

The investigation remains ongoing.
