Electra Fire Burns Overnight As Firefighters Attempt To Gain Control | Amador County
07.05.2022 | 2:00 AM | AMADOR COUNTY – Overnight video shows firefighters working to control the massive flames still burning on the Electra Fire. Torching can be seen on large trees, sending massive flames into the sky. Firefighters are doing burnout operations near homes to prevent them from getting close to the houses. Although fire activity has slowed down, the fire is still burning close to multiple ranch homes. The Electra Fire Started yesterday afternoon and quickly exploded and continues to rage out of control over night and into the early morning. Majority of video in the hills shot behind 13605 CA-26 in Mokelumne Hill. Video near roadways was taken various areas along CA-26. The fire started near Highway 49 and Electra Road, and was reportedly cause by a beach camp fire. The fire quickly grew as it responded to steep topography and heavy dry fuels. Within less than 30 minutes a massive smoke plume could be seen from surrounding counties Evacuation orders are in place as the fire burns north east 100 people were reportedly stuck in a PG&E power house, and later reportedly those people that been at the beech when the fire started and ran and took shelter in the power house There are unconfirmed reports that the suspect that started the fire may be amongst them.
