Elderly Man Found Dead in House Fire

At approximately 5:35 p.m. on February 13th, 2026, crews responded to reports of a house fire in the 19700 block of 138th Avenue SE in Renton.

Before arrival, first-due units observed a visible thermal column, and the incident was upgraded to a working fire.

During the initial fire attack and search of the residence, firefighters located an adult male inside the home. He was pronounced deceased at the scene.

The home was generally known to be occupied by an older male. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
